The Spotlight's BLE radio draws a burst of current each time a button is pressed to transmit a command. The remote appears to power off or freeze mid-use, then recovers after a few seconds. This is a cell failure, not a pairing issue. A fresh 110mAh cell at full charge resolves the sag at source.
Battery percentage stuck at 100% or dropping suddenly to 0%
The Spotlight reports battery level to the Logitech Presentation software via BLE, but the reading is based on the charge controller's calibration data for the original cell. After a cell replacement, that calibration is out of sync. The remote may report full charge for days, then jump to empty without warning. To re-calibrate, fully charge the remote until the LED confirms charge complete, then run it down to automatic cutoff — one full discharge cycle resets the fuel gauge reference points to the new cell's actual capacity.
