About this replacement
Logitech Wireless DJ Music System / R-RF11 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (190301-0000)
This 3.7V 950mAh Li-ion battery fits the Logitech Wireless DJ Music System remote control (R-RF11), replacing OEM part numbers 190301-0000, R-IG7, and 190304-2000. It powers the wireless remote used to operate the DJ mixing system. When the original cell degrades, this replacement restores full wireless control range and button responsiveness.
- Wireless DJ Music System and R-RF11 compatibility: Both the Wireless DJ Music System remote and the R-RF11 share the same 3.7V Li-ion cell spec and connector footprint, so one battery covers both units without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the remote PCB. The protection circuit held stable at 3.7V nominal and cut off correctly at the low-voltage threshold, preventing cell damage during full discharge.
- Li-ion remote storage tip: If this remote sits unused for weeks between DJ sessions, store it with the battery at roughly 50% charge rather than fully topped off — Li-ion cells held at 100% for extended periods lose capacity faster than those stored at mid-charge.
Why the Wireless DJ remote loses range before the battery fully depletes
The IR LED in the remote requires a minimum voltage to fire at full intensity. As the Li-ion cell ages and its internal resistance rises, voltage sags under the brief high-current draw of each button press. The LED still fires, but at reduced output — so the remote works close up but not across the room. The battery may still show charge on a meter, but under load it can't sustain the 3.2–3.4V the LED circuit needs. Replacing the cell restores full IR output distance.
Remote completely unresponsive after fitting the new battery
The most common cause is reversed polarity — the cell is installed with the positive and negative terminals swapped. Li-ion cells in remote housings can seat either way physically, so the remote shows no response at all rather than partial function. Check the polarity markings inside the battery compartment and align the + terminal on the cell with the + contact on the housing. Once correctly oriented, the remote should respond immediately without any pairing or reset step.
