- Supreme Connect and Prestige Touch compatibility: Both parent units share the same SP405068 cell format, connector pinout, and 3.7V single-cell BMS logic. Swapping between these two models is straightforward — the physical footprint and charge circuit are identical.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the SP405068 replacement through charge and discharge cycles on the parent unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the charge indicator moved through its stages correctly at the parent unit's micro-USB port.
- Re-pairing after power interruption: When the parent unit drops to zero charge — as it will during a battery swap — it loses its wireless link to the camera unit. After fitting this battery, charge the parent unit before powering it on, then run the pairing sequence from the menu. Skipping the re-pair step will leave the screen blank even though the unit powers on.
Why the Luvion parent unit shows a blank screen after a battery swap
A blank screen after fitting a new battery almost always means the wireless link to the camera unit was dropped when power hit zero. The parent unit stores pairing data in volatile memory that clears during a full power-loss event. The camera is still broadcasting — the parent unit just no longer knows where to look. Go to the parent unit's pairing menu and run the sync sequence with the camera unit powered on and within 1 metre.
Night vision not working after fitting a new battery
The camera unit's infrared LEDs draw more current than the standard video circuit. If the parent unit battery is low, the radio link can become unstable, which causes the IR feed to cut out or show a black screen at night. This is not a camera fault — it is a voltage-stability issue on the parent unit side. Charge the parent unit to full (the charge indicator should show complete) before testing night vision again.
