- F528A platform fit: The F528A uses a 14.4V Li-ion pack with a specific BMS handshake that gates motor start. This replacement carries the same BMS logic, so the vacuum's motor controller recognises the pack and releases the start circuit without error.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on the F528A motor load. The BMS held voltage above the motor's minimum threshold under sustained suction demand and triggered cutoff cleanly at the low-cell limit — no soft shutdowns mid-cycle.
- Dock charging habit on the F528A: Do not leave the F528A sitting on the charging dock between every use. Continuous dock contact forces trickle current into cells that are already full, and capacity fade sets in faster than normal cycle use. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator hits low on the F528A
The F528A motor draws significantly more current when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter can push draw well above the rated load. Under that elevated current, cell voltage sags early and the motor loses speed before the indicator circuit registers a low-battery state. The indicator reads average cell voltage, not instantaneous load voltage, so the two diverge under heavy draw. Clean the filter first; if suction still drops early with a fresh filter, the original cell capacity has degraded past the point of recovery.
Motor cuts out and comes back during use — BMS overcurrent trip on restricted airflow
A momentary cutout followed by recovery is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. When the F528A nozzle blocks — carpet pile, debris clump, or a clogged post-filter — the motor stalls briefly and current spikes above the BMS protection threshold. The BMS opens the discharge circuit, the motor stops, current drops, and the BMS resets within seconds. This cycle repeats until the restriction clears. Remove the blockage, clean the filter, and check that the post-motor filter is seated correctly before assuming the battery is at fault.
