Mekics MTV 1000 — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SDI1865E)
This is a 10.8V 5200mAh (56.16Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Mekics MTV 1000 medical monitoring device. It replaces OEM part SDI1865E and uses the same 18650-cell configuration as the factory pack. Voltage, connector, and BMS communication lines match the original specification.
- MTV 1000 platform fit: The MTV 1000 runs a single 10.8V rail shared across the display, processor, and sensor subsystems. Any replacement pack must match that rail exactly — undervoltage causes the device to log a battery fault and halt the boot sequence before reaching the clinical interface.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on the MTV 1000 platform. The BMS handshake completed without fault codes, and the charge IC accepted the cell chemistry without applying a rejection flag on the first cycle.
- Post-swap startup procedure: After installing this battery, allow the MTV 1000 to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The device runs BMS verification at startup — cutting power during this sequence causes a persistent false battery fault that will not clear until the next clean reboot from full charge.
Why the MTV 1000 flags a battery fault after a confirmed full charge
The MTV 1000 BMS stores a chemistry profile calibrated to the original OEM cell. A new replacement cell with a slightly different internal resistance reads outside that stored threshold on the first charge cycle. The device interprets this as a fault condition and triggers a low-battery or invalid-battery alarm even when the pack is at full capacity. One complete charge-discharge cycle allows the BMS to update its reference values and clear the flag on subsequent boots.
Device will not power on after the battery has been in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and the MTV 1000 BMS enforces a minimum recovery voltage before it allows the power rail to come up. If the cell voltage has dropped below approximately 9.0V across the pack, the BMS blocks startup entirely — the device appears completely dead. Connect the charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on. Once the BMS detects voltage above its recovery threshold, normal charging resumes and the device will boot.
