This 3.8V, 1800mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces the Mindray OEM part LI11I002A. It fits Mindray portable patient monitoring equipment that uses this cell configuration. Voltage is 3.8V and capacity is 1800mAh (6.84Wh) — matched to the original specification.
- Mindray monitor compatibility: Mindray portable monitors using the LI11I002A share a common power architecture — same voltage rail, connector footprint, and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping a degraded original cell for this replacement does not require firmware changes or recalibration.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench with a compatible Mindray monitor. The BMS accepted the new cell, completed its initialisation handshake, and did not flag a battery fault on startup or during load.
- First-cycle self-test requirement: After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test without interrupting it. Mindray monitors run a BMS verification sequence at startup — cutting power mid-sequence triggers a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.
Device not completing boot sequence after battery swap
Mindray portable monitors run a power-on self-test that includes a BMS learn step. A new cell that hasn't completed one full charge-discharge cycle may not meet the BMS's internal state-of-charge threshold at boot. The monitor interprets this as an unqualified battery and stalls or loops during startup. Run one full charge-discharge cycle before placing the device back into clinical use — after that cycle, the BMS records the cell's capacity baseline and boot completes normally.
Self-test failure persisting after confirmed full charge
If the device alarms or logs a battery fault after a new cell has been fully charged, the BMS has not yet validated the cell against its stored OEM chemistry profile. This is not a defective cell — it's the BMS applying a conservative pass threshold until it completes a learn cycle. Charge the battery to full, allow the device to discharge under normal use to below 3.4V, then recharge fully. After one complete cycle the self-test clears and the fault does not return.
