It fits the Accutorr 3, Accutorr 7, Beneheart R12, and over 24 additional models sharing the same voltage rail and connector. Mindray A5 alarming low battery immediately after a confirmed full charge
The A5's BMS stores a learned capacity profile from the previous cell. When a new cell is installed, the BMS compares the incoming voltage signature against a threshold calibrated for a conditioned OEM pack. A fresh cell that hasn't completed one full charge-discharge cycle sits outside this threshold, triggering the low battery alarm even at full charge. Run one complete charge cycle — charge to termination, allow normal discharge, charge again — before relying on the battery in a clinical environment. After that cycle the BMS accepts the new cell's profile and the alarm clears.
Monitor will not power on after battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge over storage time. If the pack drops below approximately 9V — the Mindray BMS hard cutoff — the protection circuit opens and blocks current flow entirely. The device shows no response because the BMS is preventing a potentially damaging charge event. Connect the monitor to AC mains and leave it on charge for a minimum of 30 minutes before attempting to power on. The charge IC applies a low-rate pre-charge current to recover cells in the 9V–10V range before stepping up to the full charge rate.
