DentaPort ZX won't power on after the replacement battery sat unused
Ni-MH cells self-discharge during storage. If the cell drops below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 8.4V for a 9.6V Ni-MH pack — the device will not attempt a boot sequence at all. Connect the unit to the charger for a minimum of 15 minutes before pressing the power button. This allows the charge IC to bring the pack above the BMS recovery floor. If the device still won't boot after 30 minutes on charge, check that the charger output voltage is reaching 12V at the connector before assuming a cell fault.
