This 3.7V 1150mAh Li-ion battery replaces part number VT533450 in the Motorola Ease 34, Ease 35, and Ease 44 digital audio baby monitor parent units. It slots into the handheld receiver — the unit a parent carries around the house. Capacity is 1150mAh (4.26Wh), matching the original specification.
- Ease 34, 35, and 44 parent unit compatibility: All three models share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture, the same VT533450 form factor, and the same connector orientation on the receiver PCB. The BMS charge profile is consistent across the range, so one battery covers all three.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and discharge on the parent unit PCB. The BMS engaged correctly at low-voltage cutoff and accepted the standard 4.2V charge termination without error flags.
- Wireless re-pair after replacement: The Ease 34 parent unit loses its stored pairing data when the battery is fully removed. After fitting this battery, hold the pair button on both the parent unit and camera unit until the link indicator confirms reconnection — the monitor will not receive audio until this is done.
Parent unit battery draining overnight during active monitoring
The Ease 34 parent unit runs its LCD backlight and radio receiver simultaneously during night monitoring sessions. This is a sustained current draw that will deplete a 1150mAh cell faster than typical daytime use. If the screen stays on continuously, that alone accounts for a significant portion of the overnight draw. Enable the screen timeout in the parent unit menu — the audio alert function stays active even with the screen off, so you lose nothing by letting the display sleep.
Night vision on the camera unit appears inactive after parent unit battery swap
The camera unit's IR LEDs are not powered by the parent unit battery — they run from the camera's own mains adaptor. If night vision looks absent after a battery swap, the issue is almost always the wireless link dropping during the power interruption, not the IR hardware itself. Re-pair both units as described above. Once the link is restored and the parent unit has charged above 3.7V, the live camera feed including IR should display correctly.
