The Nevo SL uses this single Li-Polymer cell to power its IR transmitter, touchscreen, and wireless control functions.
- Nevo SL specific fit: The SL platform runs a single-cell Li-Polymer pack with a dedicated BMS that monitors cell voltage and protects the touchscreen controller from undervoltage shutdown. This battery matches that cell spec — connector orientation, protection circuit, and nominal voltage — so the remote's firmware recognises it correctly on power-up.

Why the Nevo SL won't turn on after a new battery install
A new Li-Polymer cell shipped at partial charge may sit just below the SL's minimum startup voltage if it was stored for a long time in transit or in a warehouse. The remote's protection circuit blocks power-on until the cell reaches a safe operating threshold. Connect the Nevo SL to its charger for 15–20 minutes before attempting to power it on. Once the cell clears approximately 3.5V, the BMS will release and the remote will boot normally.
IR range drops noticeably before the battery reads as low
The Nevo SL's IR LED requires a consistent current burst to fire a strong signal. As the Li-Polymer cell ages and its internal resistance rises, voltage sags under the brief high-current demand of each IR pulse — even if the resting voltage still looks acceptable. The remote's display may show a normal battery indicator while the effective control range has already shortened significantly. Replacing the cell restores the clean voltage delivery the IR transmitter needs for full-range operation.
