Nokia 8 Replacement Battery - Replaces HE328

$23.79In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits Nokia 8, 8 Global Dual SIM, and 8 Global TD-LTE models; replaces OEM HE328 battery.
  • 3.85V, 2500mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers the same charge capacity as the original HE328 pack.
  • Connector seats flush into the battery slot with no locking tab — orientation marked on device.
  • We bench-tested the BMS on a Nokia 8 unit; fuel gauge IC accepted the new cell after power-on.
  • On first charge after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve.

About this replacement

Nokia 8 Series — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HE328)

This 3.85V, 2500mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the OEM HE328 battery in the Nokia 8 smartphone. It fits the Nokia 8, 8 Global Dual SIM, 8 Global Dual SIM TD-LTE, and 8 Global TD-LTE variants. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a working charge or causes unexpected shutdowns during normal use.

  • Nokia 8 variant compatibility: All four listed Nokia 8 variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell fits all of them without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on Nokia 8 hardware. The BMS accepted the charge profile without triggering overcurrent protection, and cell voltage held steady at load across the full discharge curve.
  • First-cycle fast charge protocol: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Nokia 8 after a cell swap

The Nokia 8 uses a coulomb-counter fuel gauge IC that was calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. After a cell swap, the IC still references the old curve — so when the new cell's voltage drops under modem or display load, the phone shuts off even though the percentage display shows charge remaining. This is a voltage cliff, not a capacity fault. Run one full uninterrupted discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption — this resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual curve.

Phone feels warm near the battery bay during the first few charges

A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a used one — the charge IC pushes current into more resistance, and that converts to heat. This is normal for the first two to three charge cycles as the cell's impedance drops toward operating range. Keep the phone on a flat, hard surface during those first charges so heat can dissipate rather than trap. If warmth continues past the third full cycle, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partial connection forces the charge IC to compensate and drives temperature up.
