Nokia Booklet 3G Replacement Battery - Replaces BC-1S

$87.44In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits Nokia Booklet 3G netbook; replaces OEM part number BC-1S.
  • 14.8V and 3840mAh delivers the voltage and capacity this early-2010s ultraportable requires for full charge cycles.
  • Connector slots into the existing battery bay with standard locking tab; no adapter needed.
  • We bench-tested this cell on a Booklet 3G; the BMS accepted the new pack and discharged cleanly across the voltage curve.
  • After installation, run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings.

About this replacement

Nokia Booklet 3G Series — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BC-1S)

This is a 14.8V, 3840mAh (56.83Wh) Li-ion battery for the Nokia Booklet 3G netbook, including the Blue, White, and Black colour variants. It replaces OEM part BC-1S directly. The Booklet 3G is a slim netbook from the early 2010s, and original batteries in circulation are now well past their cycle life.

  • Booklet 3G colour variants covered: The Blue, White, and Black editions share an identical battery bay geometry, the same 14.8V power rail, and the same BC-1S connector and BMS handshake — one SKU covers all three.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Booklet 3G platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the system, charge termination triggered at the expected voltage ceiling, and no fault codes were thrown during discharge.
  • Post-install calibration on the Booklet 3G: After fitting, run one full discharge down to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning the system throws after every cell swap.

Why the Booklet 3G BIOS reports poor battery health after a new cell is fitted

The Booklet 3G stores charge history in EEPROM on the old cell. When a new cell goes in, the BIOS reads stale cycle data and flags the battery as degraded — even though the cell is fresh. This is not a fault with the replacement. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge gives the fuel gauge IC a clean data set to work from. After two to three cycles, the health reading in the OS normalises.

Booklet 3G shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the old cell can no longer hold voltage under combined CPU and display load — the cell hits a voltage cliff before the fuel gauge reaches zero. If the shutdown disappears after fitting this replacement, the original cell was the cause. If the shutdown persists with the new battery, check that the BIOS is not enforcing a charge limit and confirm the cell voltage at the connector reads at or above 14.4V under load before concluding there is a deeper fault.
