Why the MiFi2200 drops all connected clients mid-session

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the MiFi2200 sat unused for several months, the battery may have dropped below the minimum boot voltage — typically around 3.0V for this cell chemistry. The device needs enough voltage to initialise its firmware before the charge circuit can top it up, so it appears completely dead rather than just low. Connect the hotspot to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power it on; most units resume normal boot once the cell recovers above 3.2V.
