NUU A6L — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (NUUA6L)
This 3.8V, 1900mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the NUU A6L smartphone. It fits the A6L directly, restoring power to a phone that no longer holds a charge or fails to power on. Capacity and voltage match OEM spec — no modifications needed for installation.
- NUU A6L platform fit: The A6L uses a fixed-voltage 3.8V single-cell Li-ion architecture. This replacement matches that voltage rail and connector pinout, so the phone's charge IC and BMS handshake complete without fault codes or charge refusal.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the A6L platform. The BMS accepted the cell on first connection, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.2V, and the protection circuit tripped as expected at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the NUU A6L after a cell swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still reading the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. When the new cell hits a voltage point the IC doesn't expect, it misreads remaining capacity and triggers a low-voltage shutdown early. The phone cuts out even though the cell has charge left. One full discharge-charge cycle — draining to automatic shutdown, then charging uninterrupted to 100% — gives the coulomb counter enough data to recalibrate against the new cell.
NUU A6L won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent damage — the phone will show nothing on screen when you press the power button. Connect the phone to a wall charger, not a PC USB port, and leave it for 15–20 minutes without attempting to power on. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell until voltage rises above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.9–3.0V, before normal charging resumes.
