Nyne Vibe — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (INR18650 2S1P)
This is a 7.4V, 2600mAh Li-ion battery for the Nyne Vibe Bluetooth speaker. It replaces the original INR18650 2S1P pack and restores wireless operation when the factory cell can no longer hold a usable charge. Voltage and connector match the Vibe's internal charge circuit.
- Nyne Vibe platform fit: The Vibe uses a 2S1P 18650 cell configuration running a 7.4V nominal rail. This pack matches that rail and the charge management IC the Vibe uses to regulate cell balancing across both cells in series.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the Vibe's board. The BMS balanced both cells correctly, held the 7.4V rail under audio load, and tripped the low-voltage cutoff at the expected threshold without latching off mid-cycle.
- Monthly discharge cycle for the Vibe: Let the speaker run down below 20% at least once a month before plugging it in. Constant top-off charging — common when the Vibe lives on a desk — causes fuel gauge drift and accelerates capacity fade in the 18650 cells faster than normal use would.
Audio distorting before the battery indicator reaches empty
As the 2S1P pack discharges, the cell voltage sags under the combined draw of the amplifier and Bluetooth radio. On the Vibe, this sag can push the amp's supply rail below the headroom it needs at higher volumes, causing clipping before the pack is actually depleted. The battery indicator reads a remaining charge because it tracks resting voltage, not load voltage. Reducing playback volume by 20–30% when the indicator hits two bars will keep the rail stable and stop the distortion without cutting the session short.
Nyne Vibe won't wake from USB charge after sitting unused for months
If the Vibe sits uncharged for an extended period, both 18650 cells in the 2S pack can drop below the minimum acceptance voltage the charge IC needs to initiate a charge cycle. The speaker appears completely dead — no indicator lights, no response. Connect it to a 5V USB source and leave it undisturbed for 20–40 minutes; most charge ICs include a trickle pre-charge mode that slowly brings deeply discharged cells back above the threshold before switching to normal CC/CV charging. If the indicator still does not light after that window, check that the USB cable is carrying power by testing it on a different device first.
