OKP Life K2P / K3P Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C465-J1-4S1P)
This is a 14.4V, 2600mAh lithium-ion battery pack for the OKP Life K2P, K3P, K-7N2418, and K7 Robot cordless stick vacuums. It replaces OEM part number C465-J1-4S1P directly. Voltage and cell count match the original pack so the motor controller and BMS handshake function normally.
- K2P, K3P, K-7N2418, K7 Robot compatibility: These models share the same 14.4V four-cell series configuration and the same connector housing, so one pack fits the full group. The BMS charge threshold and discharge cutoff values match what the OKP Life charger expects to see.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated charge and discharge runs on the bench. The BMS held the low-voltage cutoff correctly and did not allow the cells to drop below safe discharge thresholds under sustained motor load.
- Dock charging on cordless vacuums: Do not leave the K2P sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charge on a lithium pack accelerates capacity fade noticeably faster than charging only when the pack is depleted. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
On the K2P, suction can fall off noticeably while the battery indicator still shows two or three bars. This happens because a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which causes voltage to sag across the cells. The BMS reads that sag as a load-protection condition and begins throttling output before the state-of-charge display catches up. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers immediately, the battery was not the cause.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then restarts after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failing battery. When suction is restricted — by a blockage, a clogged filter, or heavy carpet fibres packed against the brush roll — the motor pulls a sustained current spike beyond what the BMS allows. The pack shuts output, the motor stops, and after the BMS resets (typically a few seconds) it restarts. Clear the blockage and check the filter before assuming the pack is faulty. If the cutout disappears after clearing the restriction, the battery and BMS are functioning as intended.
