- N5117 / N1 Mini platform compatibility: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.8V nominal voltage rail. The BLP573 cell fits all four without modification to the connector or housing.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on an N1 Mini unit. The BMS accepted the new cell on first connection, voltage at rest read 3.82V, and the charge IC ramped to full current without fault codes.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins pushing current into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BLP573 replacement cell
A fresh Li-Polymer cell has a steeper voltage-versus-capacity curve than a worn cell. When the N5117's modem fires a high-current burst during a call or data session, the cell voltage dips sharply. If the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's curve, it reads 25% but the actual cell voltage has already collapsed below the 3.4V cutoff threshold. The phone interprets this as a hard undervoltage event and shuts down. One full discharge-charge cycle resets the coulomb counter and eliminates these false cutoffs.
OS reporting wrong battery percentage after cell swap
Oppo's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge profile from the original cell. After swapping to a new BLP573, the stored curve no longer matches the new cell's actual capacity curve, so the percentage readout jumps erratically or reads 100% before the cell is genuinely full. Drain the phone until it shuts down automatically, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with the screen off. After one full cycle the fuel gauge recalibrates against the new cell and percentage reporting stabilises.
