Oppo Reno8 Pro+ Replacement Battery - Replaces BLP929

$29.97In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits Oppo Reno8 Pro+ and PFZM10 model, replacing OEM part BLP929.
  • Supplies 7.74V at 2200mAh capacity, delivering 17.03Wh total energy for full processor and display demand.
  • Li-Polymer cell uses internal connector match with the original — physical fit confirmed on slot and orientation.
  • Bench test showed clean BMS handshake on insertion; voltage held steady under load with no early cutoff.
  • On first charge after installation, disable fast charging for one full discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve.

About this replacement

Oppo Reno8 Pro+ — 7.74V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP929)

This is a 7.74V, 2200mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Oppo Reno8 Pro+ (PFZM10). It replaces OEM part BLP929 directly. Fit this when the original cell has degraded, holds little charge, or fails to power the phone at all.

  • Reno8 Pro+ and PFZM10 compatibility: Both model designations share the same chassis, BLP929 connector pinout, and charge IC handshake. The BMS communicates with the Oppo charge controller over the same protocol, so no firmware mismatch occurs on either variant.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full discharge-charge sequence on a Reno8 Pro+ unit. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake on the first cycle, and the fuel gauge IC began tracking capacity correctly after one complete cycle without intervention.
  • First-cycle fast charge behaviour: On first use after installation, disable SUPERVOOC fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging pushes load into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

A new cell has a different discharge curve than the worn cell the fuel gauge IC was originally calibrated against. When the phone hits a voltage point that the old curve mapped to 20–30%, the new cell may actually be near its minimum sustainable voltage under modem or display load. The charge controller sees a voltage cliff and shuts the phone down before the OS registers 0%. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a complete charge cycle resets the coulomb counter and eliminates this behaviour.

SUPERVOOC fast charge not activating after replacement

Oppo's SUPERVOOC protocol requires the charge IC to authenticate with the battery BMS before allowing high-current delivery. On a new cell, this handshake occasionally fails on the first cycle because the BMS has not yet completed its initialisation sequence. Plug in using the original Oppo cable and adapter, let the phone charge to 100% on standard charge, then unplug and replug — SUPERVOOC will activate once the BMS has completed one full cycle and the handshake registers correctly.
