Panasonic G50 / G51 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (EB-BSG50S)
This is a 3.7V, 700mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the Panasonic G50 and G51 smartphones. It matches the OEM part number EB-BSG50S and installs directly into either handset. Use this when the original cell no longer holds a charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.

This lets the coulomb counter recalibrate its discharge curve against the new cell — without it, the OS percentage reading will lag or jump until the IC builds an accurate baseline.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the G50 after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a defective cell. The fuel gauge IC on the G50 was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original aged cell, which sagged more gradually. A fresh 700mAh cell holds a steeper voltage profile — the IC misreads remaining capacity and the modem or screen load pulls the cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold before the OS reaches 0%. One full discharge-to-charge cycle without fast charging resets the coulomb counter and eliminates the premature cutoff.
G50 not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If a cell drops below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout mode and the phone will not respond to the power button or a normal charger. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell at a safe rate until voltage clears the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.9–3.0V, after which normal charging resumes.
