This is a 3.7V 1800mAh Li-ion battery for the Panasonic Toughbook CF-P2 handheld scanner. It replaces OEM part CF-VZSU33 directly. The CF-P2 is used in retail and warehouse environments where scan uptime matters across full shifts.
- CF-P2 platform fit: The CF-VZSU33 cell format matches the CF-P2's voltage rail and connector exactly. The BMS handshake is the same as OEM — the device powers on and syncs without prompts or error flags.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the cell through charge and discharge cycles on the CF-P2 platform. The BMS handled scan-trigger inrush without tripping, and wireless polling remained stable throughout.
- First-shift cradle protocol: Before the first pick-and-pack shift, seat the scanner in its cradle and run a full charge cycle. Scan-trigger inrush current peaks when the cell is near minimum charge — a fully charged cell stops false BMS trips on initial use.

A charging error on a new pack is almost always a contact issue, not a battery fault. The CF-P2 cradle reads pack state through gold pogo pins that collect oxidation and debris quickly in warehouse environments. High contact resistance causes the dock to misread cell voltage and flag an error. Wipe the pack contacts and the cradle pins with a dry cloth, reseat the scanner firmly, and the error clears in most cases within one charge cycle.

During fast scan sequences, the CF-P2 draws current for both the scan trigger and the wireless radio simultaneously. If the cell voltage sags below the radio module's minimum threshold during that combined draw, the wireless link drops. This is more common when the battery is below 30% charge. Keep the cell above that level during heavy burst scanning — the radio reconnects automatically once voltage recovers, but it interrupts the scan session.
