Pantech P6070 Replacement Battery - Replaces PBR-47B

$19.47In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits Pantech P6070 and Vybe smartphones; replaces OEM part PBR-47B.
  • 3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 940mAh delivers 3.48Wh to restore full charge cycles on this legacy Pantech handset.
  • Connector slides onto the Pantech battery interface with single contact latch; orientation keyed to prevent reverse insertion.
  • We bench tested this cell on a Pantech charging platform; BMS accepted the pack and delivered steady charge current without fault codes.
  • On first charge after installation, allow one complete discharge-charge cycle before resuming normal use—the fuel gauge IC needs this cycle to recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve and prevent early shutdown warnings.

About this replacement

Pantech P6070 / Vybe — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (PBR-47B)

This is a 3.7V, 940mAh Li-ion battery built to fit the Pantech P6070 and Vybe smartphones. It replaces OEM part number PBR-47B when the original cell degrades and can no longer hold adequate charge. Dimensions are 51.45 × 46.10 × 3.96mm — confirm these against your existing battery before fitting.

  • P6070 and Vybe compatibility: Both devices share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — that is why a single cell covers both models. The PBR-47B form factor locks to the same retention clips on both chassis.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a P6070 unit, confirmed the BMS handshake completed without fault codes, and verified the protection circuit triggered correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: After fitting, run one full discharge to auto-off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before normal use. This gives the phone's fuel gauge IC a clean reference curve against the new cell — skipping this step often causes erratic percentage readings for the first several cycles.

Why the P6070 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The P6070 uses a coulomb-counter fuel gauge IC that builds its charge model from the previous cell's discharge curve. When you fit a new cell, that stored model no longer matches the actual cell chemistry and capacity. The result is percentage readings that jump, stall, or freeze — most commonly between 40% and 70%. One complete discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge resets the IC's reference data and brings percentage accuracy back in line.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the modem or display draws a high current spike and the cell voltage collapses below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the gauge is still showing charge remaining. A new cell straight from storage has slightly elevated internal impedance until it has been through a few cycles. The voltage sag under load hits the cutoff point earlier than the fuel gauge predicts. After two or three full charge-discharge cycles, internal impedance drops and the shutdowns stop; if they continue past five cycles, check that resting cell voltage sits above 3.6V after a full charge.
