Pelican 7060 / 7069 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (7060-301-001)
This 3.7V, 2600mAh Li-ion cell replaces the factory battery in the Pelican 7060 and 7069 tactical flashlights. It matches the OEM voltage and form factor, fitting the battery compartment without modification. Sourced to match the original cell dimensions: 94.20 × 25.45 × 24.30mm.
- 7060 and 7069 compatibility: Both flashlight variants share the same battery bay, connector orientation, and driver voltage requirements. One cell fits both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the 7060 driver board. The protection circuit flagged over-discharge cutoff correctly at the expected low-voltage threshold, and the driver stepped through its output modes without interruption.
- Single-cell discharge watch: The 7060 runs a single Li-ion cell directly through its driver. If the cell sits partially discharged for weeks between uses — common in gear bags — the protection circuit may enter a deep-sleep state. Run a slow pre-charge at 0.1C before the first full charge cycle if the light shows no response.

The 7060 driver uses brownout protection to reduce LED current when the cell voltage drops below a set threshold — typically around 3.2V. This happens before the battery indicator triggers, so the light dims noticeably while the indicator still shows charge remaining. It is not a fault in the battery or the driver. Switching to a lower output mode at that point will extend usable time from the remaining capacity. If dimming happens early in a charge cycle, the cell has degraded and needs replacing.
Flashlight shows no response after long storage — battery reads zero volts
Li-ion cells left discharged for extended periods can drop below 2.5V, where the protection circuit locks out normal charging to prevent thermal risk. Most chargers will reject the cell at this point. Use a charger with a recovery or pre-charge mode to apply a trickle current until the cell reaches 2.9–3.0V. Once it crosses that threshold, switch to standard charging. If the cell does not recover to 3.0V within 30 minutes of trickle input, replace it.
