Why this battery

  • Fits Philips FC6150, FC6150/1, and FC6152/01 handheld vacuums; replaces OEM part 432200621351.
  • 3.6V 1500mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers consistent motor voltage throughout the cleaning cycle without the voltage sag that degrades suction on worn packs.
  • Connector seats vertically into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation is keyed to prevent reverse insertion on the motor housing.
  • We bench tested the BMS on a standard Philips dock charger; the pack accepted full charge in one cycle with no fault codes or cutoff anomalies.
  • Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously — Ni-MH packs on constant trickle charge develop capacity fade within weeks; charge to full and remove from dock immediately.

About this replacement

Philips FC6150 Series — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (432200621351)

This is a 3.6V 1500mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Philips FC6150 cordless handheld vacuum cleaner. It fits the FC6150, FC6150/1, and FC6152/01 models and slots in using the original connector and housing. Capacity is 1500mAh (5.4Wh) — matching the factory specification.

  • FC6150 series compatibility: The FC6150, FC6150/1, and FC6152/01 share the same 3.6V single-cell Ni-MH architecture, identical connector pinout, and the same motor control circuit. One battery cell covers all three variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the FC6150 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the motor drew consistent current across the discharge curve with no mid-cycle cutoff.
  • Dock charging discipline: Do not leave the FC6150 sitting on the charging dock permanently. Ni-MH cells in cordless vacuums develop capacity fade significantly faster under continuous trickle charge. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next use.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The FC6150 motor pulls harder when the filter is partially blocked, drawing more current than the cell is rated for at that state of charge. Voltage sags under that elevated load, and the motor slows — even though the indicator still reads mid-charge. The indicator measures resting cell voltage, not load voltage, so it lags behind what the motor actually sees. Clean or replace the filter first; if suction still drops early on a new battery, the issue is load, not capacity.

Motor cuts out then recovers a few seconds later

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — by a blocked nozzle, full dust cup, or clogged filter — the motor strains against the restriction and current spikes past the cell's safe discharge threshold. The BMS shuts the circuit down to protect the cell, then resets once current drops. Clear the restriction and empty the dust cup. If the cutout continues on a clean filter with a new battery, check the nozzle inlet for a partial blockage closer to the motor housing.
