This is a 14.4V, 4500mAh Li-ion battery pack for the Philips HomeRun 3000 cordless vacuum and the XU2000 series, including the XU2000/10, XU2000/20, and XU2000/20 Robot Vacuum Cleaner. It replaces OEM part numbers C1048A2 and C1048A7. Dimensions are 143.00 × 44.90 × 25.20mm — measure your original pack before ordering if you are unsure.
- XU2000 series compatibility: The XU2000/10, XU2000/20, and Robot Vacuum Cleaner variants share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol as the HomeRun 3000. One cell pack covers all of them.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the HomeRun 3000 motor under load. The BMS held stable across repeated full-draw starts and did not trip on the motor's inrush current at 14.4V nominal.
- Dock charging habit on cordless vacuums: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous dock charge applies a slow trickle that degrades Li-ion cell capacity faster than normal cycling. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The HomeRun 3000 motor pulls significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked. That extra draw causes voltage to sag at the cell level — the battery indicator still reads mid-range, but the motor is already receiving less than its operating threshold. Suction feels weak even though the vacuum appears charged. Clean or replace the filter first. If suction recovers, the battery was not the fault — the motor was drawing over rated current against restricted airflow.
Motor cuts out mid-clean and recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When sustained suction restriction forces the motor to pull above the pack's current threshold, the BMS disconnects the output to protect the cells — then resets after a short cooldown. The vacuum powers back on as if nothing happened. Check the filter and clear any blockage at the brush head before assuming the battery is faulty. A clean airpath drops motor draw back within the BMS's trip threshold.
