This is a 14.4V, 11000mAh (158.4Wh) Li-ion battery for the Philips Respirateur V60 and V60S non-invasive ventilators. It also fits the Respironics V60 and V60S variants using the same battery bay and connector. Confirmed compatibility against OEM part numbers 88881344, 107674, 1076374, M48385-B0, 1058272, 989805626941, and 1056921.
- V60 and V60S platform fit: Both the Respirateur and Respironics-branded V60 variants share the same 14.4V battery rail, physical connector, and BMS handshake protocol. One battery services the full platform without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery on a V60 bench unit and monitored BMS communication throughout. The charge IC accepted the cell without fault codes, and the BMS reported state-of-charge accurately across the full discharge curve.
- Power-on self-test cycle: After installing this battery, let the V60 complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The device runs a BMS verification sequence at startup — cutting power during this window causes a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot.
Why the V60 flags a battery fault after a successful charge
The V60 BMS sets internal acceptance thresholds calibrated to OEM cell chemistry and charge history. A new replacement cell has no stored cycle data, so the BMS treats it as an unknown source on first boot. This triggers a conditional fault flag even when the cell is fully charged. Running one complete charge-discharge cycle writes the baseline data the BMS needs to clear the flag and report status normally.
Charge indicator stalls below 100% on the first charge
On first charge, the V60 charge IC applies a conservative current limit to cells with no prior cycle history — this is expected behaviour, not a fault. The indicator stalls because the IC is holding a reduced topping rate until cell internal resistance settles. Disconnect, allow the battery to rest for 10 minutes, then reconnect and resume charging. After one full cycle, the charge IC recalibrates and the indicator reaches 100% normally.
