About this replacement
Philips S10A / S10H — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PH454061)
This is a 3.7V, 1200mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Philips S10A, S10A/38, and S10H cordless DECT handsets. It replaces OEM part PH454061 and fits the existing battery compartment without modification. Dimensions are 63.18 × 36.88 × 4.60mm.
- S10A, S10A/38, and S10H compatibility: These three handset variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and voltage requirements — one cell covers all three. The 3.7V nominal Li-Polymer chemistry matches the base station charging circuit expectations exactly.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the S10A handset platform. The BMS held charge termination correctly and the handset registered full battery status on the display within the first charge cycle.
- First charge protocol for Li-Polymer handsets: After fitting this battery, seat the handset in the base and leave it undisturbed for a full charge cycle before first use. Li-Polymer cells shipped in partial-charge storage state need one complete charge to allow the BMS to calibrate the state-of-charge reading accurately.
Talk time shorter than expected after replacing the S10A battery
A new Li-Polymer cell shipped from storage typically arrives at 40–60% charge. The handset BMS reads this partial state and sets an inaccurate full-capacity baseline. This causes the battery indicator to drop faster than it should in early use. One full charge-to-discharge cycle resets the BMS calibration and restores accurate capacity reporting.
Philips S10A handset losing DECT pairing after battery swap
Removing the battery from a DECT handset cuts power to volatile memory, which can erase the base station registration data. The handset powers back on but shows no line or fails to ring. Re-register the handset at the base station using the paging or registration button — on the S10A base, hold the registration button for three seconds until the handset confirms pairing.
