Prestigio MultiPhone 4500 Duo — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (PAP4500 DUO)
This is a 3.7V, 1750mAh Li-ion cell for the Prestigio MultiPhone 4500 Duo smartphone. It replaces the original PAP4500 DUO battery when the existing cell has degraded, swells, or can no longer hold a charge. Dimensions are 67.15 × 55.70 × 4.80mm — verify your original cell matches before fitting.
- MultiPhone 4500 Duo fitment: The dual-SIM 4500 Duo runs two active radio modems simultaneously, which places higher sustained draw on the cell than a single-SIM device. The voltage rail and connector on this replacement match the original BMS handshake requirements for that configuration.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge passes on the MultiPhone 4500 Duo platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and charge termination triggered correctly at 4.2V.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the MultiPhone 4500 Duo after a cell swap
A new cell has a steeper voltage-discharge curve than a well-used original. The fuel gauge IC on the MultiPhone 4500 Duo is still calibrated to the old cell's curve, so it misreads remaining capacity. When dual-SIM modem load or a screen wake event pulls current, the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold before the OS reports zero percent. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% lets the coulomb counter reset against the new curve and eliminates most premature shutoffs.
Phone not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If this battery shipped or sat unused long enough to drop below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout to prevent damage and will not pass current to the device. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC on the board needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS releases and the phone can boot. If the charging LED does not appear within 30 minutes, check that the battery connector is fully seated and retry from a 5V/1A wall adapter.
