It matches the original voltage and capacity spec, restoring power to calls, messaging, and basic apps. Install requires removing the back cover and disconnecting the original flat-flex connector.
- PSP3453 DUO dual-SIM platform: Running two active SIM slots doubles the modem draw compared to single-SIM mode. Both radios poll the network simultaneously, which pulls harder on the cell under peak load. This replacement cell is rated to the same 1400mAh capacity as the original to handle that combined radio draw.

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. When the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, it reports 25% remaining while the new cell's actual open-circuit voltage has already dropped below what the modem needs to sustain a call or data session. The phone shuts down because the load voltage collapses, not because the gauge hit zero. One full discharge-charge cycle lets the coulomb counter reset its endpoint and eliminates most of these early shutdowns.
Phone does not power on after sitting in storage with a flat battery
If the PSP3453 DUO was stored discharged for weeks, the cell may have drained below 2.5V. At that level, the BMS locks out charge current as a safety measure and the phone shows nothing on screen. Plug into a wall adapter — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC delivers a trickle recovery current to bring the cell above the BMS unlock threshold, typically around 3.0V, before normal charging resumes.
