Why the Presto Sola goes offline immediately after a battery swap
The Presto Sola does not power on and reconnect instantly — it runs a boot sequence that includes a mesh network re-join handshake. This takes up to 60 seconds under normal conditions. If your hub marks the device offline during this window, that is expected behaviour, not a fault with the battery or the unit. Only flag it as a problem if the device has not reappeared in your app after 90 seconds.

Ni-MH cells lose voltage during storage — even a new cell can sit at 11.2V or below by the time it reaches you. If the Profalux device reads that as a low battery state, the alert is technically accurate for the current voltage, not a sign the battery is faulty. Run a full charge cycle first. The alert should clear once the cell reaches its resting voltage of 12V–13V.
