Proscenic P12 — 25.9V Li-ion Replacement Battery (H016A)
This is a 25.9V 2500mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Proscenic P12 cordless stick vacuum. It replaces OEM part number H016A. Fit the replacement when the original no longer holds charge or suction drops off well before the indicator reaches low.
- P12 platform fit: The P12 battery bay uses a fixed 25.9V rail with a seven-cell Li-ion configuration. The BMS in this replacement matches the voltage window and connector pinout the P12 motor controller expects. No adapters or firmware changes needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the battery through charge and discharge cycles on a P12 unit. The BMS held charge termination at 29.4V and triggered undervoltage cutoff cleanly at 21V, protecting the cells under sustained motor load.
- Dock charging discipline on the P12: The P12 charger does not switch to a true maintenance mode once full. Leave the vacuum on the dock continuously and the cells absorb a slow trickle that compresses usable capacity over weeks. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next clean.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the P12
The P12 motor controller adjusts fan speed based on available voltage. As cells age, internal resistance rises, and voltage sags under motor load even when the battery reads partially charged at rest. The controller interprets the sag as low supply and pulls back power to the motor — suction drops noticeably before any indicator warning. A replacement cell with lower internal resistance restores full voltage under load, so the motor runs at rated speed through most of the charge cycle.
P12 motor cutting out mid-clean and recovering after a few seconds
This pattern — sudden cutout followed by recovery — is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a battery fault by itself. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor works harder to maintain airflow and current draw spikes above the BMS threshold. The BMS opens the discharge circuit to protect the cells, then resets once current normalises. Clean or replace the filter first. If cutouts continue with a clean filter on a fresh charge, check that resting voltage reads at least 25.9V before use.
