Roborock A10 Plus — 21.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BCR-1P6S-4000DHS)
This is a 21.6V 4000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Roborock A10 Plus and A10 Plus Sweeper robotic vacuum. It replaces part number BCR-1P6S-4000DHS. The battery powers the drive motors, brush roll, and suction fan through a full cleaning cycle.
- A10 Plus and A10 Plus Sweeper compatibility: Both models run on the same 21.6V platform and share the BCR-1P6S-4000DHS cell pack. The BMS handshake, connector pinout, and voltage rail are identical across both variants, so one replacement covers the whole range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the A10 Plus dock. The BMS responded correctly to charge termination, cell balancing, and overcurrent events. No false low-battery flags appeared during testing.
- Dock charging habit for A10 Plus owners: The A10 Plus auto-returns to dock after every run. Leaving it permanently docked between sessions pushes continuous trickle charge through the cells. Charge to full, then lift the unit off the dock if it will sit unused for more than a day or two.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator shows low
The A10 Plus fan motor draws significantly more current when filters are partially blocked or the brush roll is tangled. The BMS detects the voltage sag under that elevated load and reduces power output before the battery gauge registers a low state. The indicator reads what the resting cell voltage says, not what the motor is actually pulling under load. Clean the filter and clear the brush roll — if suction recovers immediately, the battery is not the fault.
Motor cutting out mid-run and then recovering after a pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the suction path is restricted — blocked filter, jammed brush, or a stuck side brush — the motor holds a high current draw that exceeds the BMS threshold. The BMS cuts output to protect the cells, the unit pauses, and then resets once current demand drops. Check the filter and all intake points first. If the unit runs normally on hard floor but trips on carpet, the brush roll is the likely restriction point.
