Why the Accu-Chek Inform alarms low battery immediately after a confirmed full charge
The Inform's BMS uses a learned capacity model calibrated to the original OEM cell chemistry. A new replacement cell hasn't yet passed the meter's internal capacity verification threshold, so the alarm triggers even when the cell is fully charged. This isn't a fault with the cell — it's the BMS comparing measured impedance against a stored OEM baseline it hasn't updated yet. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle and the BMS recalibrates; the alarm clears on its own after that cycle completes.
Accu-Chek Inform not powering on after the cell sat in storage
Lithium-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and if the voltage drops below approximately 2.5V, the Inform's BMS enters a protection lockout and blocks startup entirely. The device will show no response — no display, no boot screen. Place the battery on a compatible external charger to bring the cell voltage above 3.0V before reinserting it into the meter. Once above that threshold, the BMS releases the lockout and the Inform boots normally.
