This 14.4V, 3400mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original RS-RT900815 cell in the Rowenta Smart Force Extreme robotic vacuum. It fits the RR7126, RR7145, and RR7157 models, along with five additional variants in the Smart Force Extreme range. Voltage and capacity match OEM spec — the robot's navigation, motor, and suction systems run at the same electrical parameters as the factory unit.

  • Smart Force Extreme RR71xx series fit: These models share the same 14.4V power rail, battery bay dimensions, and BMS communication protocol. A single cell — RS-RT900815 — services the full lineup because the motherboard expects the same voltage handshake across the series.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the RR7126 platform. The BMS accepted the replacement without fault codes, suction engaged at full power, and the navigation system initialised normally from a cold start.
  • Dock charging habit: Remove the robot from the charging dock once the indicator shows full. Leaving a Li-ion robotic vacuum on continuous dock charge accelerates capacity fade — the trickle current keeps the cell at peak voltage stress indefinitely. Charge when depleted, then pull it off the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The RR7126 motor draws significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked or when the robot transitions from hard floor to thick carpet. Under that elevated draw, a degraded or new cell with high internal resistance will sag in voltage before the indicator registers as low. The BMS detects the sag and reduces power to the motor to protect the cell — suction drops noticeably even though the battery display still reads mid-range. Clean the filter and check for partial blockages in the brush housing first; if suction recovers, the issue is load-side, not the battery.

Motor cuts out mid-cycle and then restarts after a pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When restricted airflow forces the motor to spin harder against suction resistance, current draw spikes above the BMS threshold. The BMS interrupts the circuit, the robot pauses, and after the cell temperature drops slightly, the BMS resets and the motor restarts. The cycle will keep repeating until the restriction is cleared. Remove the dustbin, wash the fine filter, and check the intake path for hair or debris — that alone resolves this on most RR71xx units.
