Recording cutting out mid-incident on the Prima Facie
The Prima Facie draws from the battery on two simultaneous loads — video encoding and wireless upload when WiFi or cellular sync is active. Under combined draw, the BMS can trip its protection circuit if voltage sags below the cutoff threshold, killing the recording mid-session. This is not a battery fault; it is the protection circuit doing its job. To reduce the risk, disable background upload during active recording and let sync occur when the camera is docked and on charge.

A new lithium-polymer cell needs two or three full charge cycles before the internal coulomb counter calibrates to its actual capacity. Until then, the camera's fuel gauge can read lower than the true state of charge. If the low-battery indicator appears early after installing this replacement, fully discharge the camera to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. Run that cycle twice and the indicator should track accurately.
