Samsung Digimax L74W / NV100HD Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SLB-1137D)
This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh lithium-ion cell built to the SLB-1137D specification. It fits the Samsung Digimax L74W, NV100HD, NV106 HD, NV30, and nine additional Samsung compact camera bodies that share the same battery compartment format. Voltage and physical dimensions match OEM: 45.85 × 33.75 × 6.60mm.
- NV and Digimax platform compatibility: These Samsung compact models share the SLB-1137D form factor and a 3.7V single-cell power rail. The connector pinout and BMS communication protocol are consistent across the range, so one cell covers the full model group without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on a Digimax L74W body. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and voltage hold across mid-discharge was stable with no unexpected cutoff events.
- First-install charge cycle on camera body: Slot the new cell in and run a full charge cycle through the camera body or OEM charger before your first shoot. Some Samsung compact BMS implementations need that initial in-body charge to correctly map the cell's discharge curve and display accurate battery-remaining readings.

Samsung compact bodies map the battery-remaining indicator against a stored discharge curve from the OEM cell. A new third-party cell has a slightly different discharge profile, so voltage readings at the same state of charge can fall outside the camera's expected threshold window. The body reads that mismatch as a depleted cell and throws the low-battery warning prematurely. Run one complete charge-to-full, discharge-to-cutoff cycle through the camera body and the indicator calibration resets against the new cell's actual curve.
Flash recycling slowing down or failing to fire mid-shoot
The flash capacitor in the NV and Digimax series draws a short, high-current spike to recharge between shots. If the cell's internal resistance has risen — either from a depleted original battery or a new cell that hasn't completed its first full cycle — that recharge current sags and capacitor refill time increases. At the end of the discharge curve, sag is severe enough that the camera suppresses the flash entirely to protect the circuit. Check resting voltage with a meter before shooting; a healthy SLB-1137D cell should read 4.1–4.2V after a full charge.
