Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro Replacement Battery - Replaces EB-BC501ABE

$21.94In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C5 Pro Duos; replaces Samsung EB-BC501ABE battery.
  • 3.85V, 2650mAh Li-Polymer cell matches original capacity for standard daily use cycles.
  • Connector seats flush into the battery slot with no orientation marking required.
  • Bench testing showed normal BMS voltage ramp on insertion; no early cutoff detected.
  • On first charge after installation, skip fast charging for one full cycle—this recalibrates the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's discharge curve before USB-PD pushes current into an uncalibrated BMS.

About this replacement

Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BC501ABE)

This is a 3.85V, 2650mAh (10.2Wh) Li-Polymer cell that replaces the original EB-BC501ABE battery in the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C5 Pro Duos. It fits the GT-C501 and GT-C5010 variants using the same connector and BMS handshake as the factory unit. Swap it in when the original cell can no longer hold a usable charge across a full day.

  • Galaxy C5 Pro and C5 Pro Duos compatibility: Both the single-SIM and Duos variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — one cell covers all variants listed without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a Galaxy C5 Pro unit and confirmed the BMS handshake completes correctly — the OS recognises the cell, accepts charge current, and reports capacity without error flags.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Galaxy C5 Pro after a cell swap

The Galaxy C5 Pro's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve data from the previous cell after a swap. When the new cell hits a voltage point the old curve maps to 20–30%, the IC reports a sharp drop and the OS triggers an emergency shutdown — even though physical charge remains in the cell. The fix is a full, uninterrupted discharge down to automatic shutdown followed by a complete charge to 100% with the phone off or idle. After one full cycle the coulomb counter resets against the new cell's actual curve and the shutdowns stop.

Fast charging not activating after replacing the EB-BC501ABE cell

Samsung's Adaptive Fast Charging protocol requires the charger, the charge IC on the board, and the battery BMS to complete a handshake on the first charge session. A new cell's BMS starts in a conservative state and may reject the elevated current on the very first cycle. If fast charge is not triggering, use the original Samsung charger — third-party adapters can stall the handshake permanently on that session. Charge to 100% on the first cycle using the OEM charger, then fast charging activates normally on subsequent sessions.
