Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BT330FBU)
This is a 3.7V, 3350mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. It fits SM-T337A, SM-T337V, and related variants that share the EB-BT330FBU specification. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the tablet fails to power on.
- SM-T337A and SM-T337V compatibility: Both carrier variants run the same 3.7V power rail, use the same connector pinout, and communicate with the same charge IC. One cell covers both. No wiring or adapter changes needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Tab 4 8.0 unit. The BMS accepted the charge handshake on the first cycle, held cutoff voltage correctly at the top, and did not trip under combined display and WiFi load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After installation, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging early. This gives the fuel gauge IC a full reference window against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that commonly appear right after a battery swap.
Tablet shutting down at 15–25% remaining after battery replacement
The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 pulls a combined load from the display backlight and WiFi radio that creates a sharp voltage dip at lower states of charge. If the fuel gauge is still calibrated to the old, degraded cell, it misreads where that voltage cliff sits on the new one. The tablet interprets the dip as a critical low and triggers a shutdown even though usable capacity remains. One full discharge-to-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the gauge reference and moves the cutoff point to where it belongs on the fresh cell.
Fast charging not available after fitting a new cell
The Tab 4 8.0 charge IC negotiates charging rate during the first accepted cycle with a new cell. Until that cycle completes, the system defaults to standard rate as a precaution. This is not a fault with the replacement battery. Charge the tablet fully to 100% without interruption once, and the charge IC logs the cell as accepted. Fast charge availability returns on the following charge cycle.
