Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Z Flip 3 after replacement
This shutdown pattern points to a voltage cliff — the cell voltage drops below the processor's minimum rail voltage under modem or display load before the fuel gauge registers empty. It happens most often when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's curve. Run one full slow discharge to 0% and charge to 100% without fast charging enabled. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets its floor voltage, and the 20–30% cutoff typically disappears.
