Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 Replacement Battery - Replaces EB-BF712ABY

$19.47In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 models SM-F711B, SM-F711J, SM-F711D and replaces OEM battery EB-BF712ABY.
  • Outputs 3.88V at 900mAh—this single-cell Li-Polymer pack handles the foldable's internal power distribution without voltage sag under modem load.
  • Connector solders directly to the Z Flip 3 main board; no mechanical latch or retention tab present on this cell.
  • We bench-tested this EB-BF712ABY against a worn OEM unit; the BMS accepted 5V/2A input on first cycle with no early cutoff or thermal climb.
  • On first charge after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell's discharge curve.

About this replacement

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 — 3.88V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BF712ABY)

This is a 3.88V, 900mAh Li-Polymer cell replacing the OEM EB-BF712ABY battery inside the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3. It fits the SM-F711B, SM-F711J, SM-F711D, and related variants of the foldable Z Flip 3 platform. Dimensions are 56.00 × 22.00 × 4.80mm — confirm against your original cell before installation.

  • Z Flip 3 platform fit: The SM-F711 series shares a single battery bay and the same BMS connector across all regional variants. One cell covers the full lineup because Samsung used an identical voltage rail and physical footprint for every market build of this device.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the Z Flip 3's charge IC and confirmed BMS handshake, thermal reporting, and charge-current acceptance at 3.88V nominal. The protection circuit responded correctly to both trickle and fast-charge current thresholds.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Why the Z Flip 3 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Z Flip 3 uses a coulomb counter-based fuel gauge IC that builds its percentage model from the original cell's charge and discharge history. When you install a new cell, that stored model no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage curve. The gauge will display percentages that lag or jump because it is mapping new voltage readings to old capacity data. One full discharge down to automatic shutoff, followed by a complete charge to 100%, resets the reference points and restores accurate reporting.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet recalibrated and the cell voltage drops below the modem or display load threshold faster than the percentage reading reflects. The phone sees a voltage cliff — the cell cannot hold voltage under the peak draw of 5G or the foldable's inner display — and the BMS cuts output before the percentage reaches zero. It is not a faulty cell; it is a calibration gap. Run one full cycle without fast charging, and the fuel gauge will anchor its low-end cutoff to the correct voltage point, typically around 3.40–3.45V under load.
