This is a 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-ion cell that replaces the original battery in the Samsung Galaxy Core GT-I8262D, Galaxy Duos, Galaxy Style Duos, and SCH-i829. It fits directly behind the rear cover without any modification. Capacity matches the factory specification at 5.55Wh.
- GT-I8262D, SCH-i829, and Duos variants: All listed models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pitch, and BMS handshake protocol. The EB425365LU part number covers the full group — no variant-specific wiring differences exist between them.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the GT-I8262D platform. The BMS accepted charge input without fault flags, and the protection circuit triggered correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. The Galaxy Core's fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. One full cycle lets it map the new cell before reporting accurate percentages.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the GT-I8262D after a cell swap
The Galaxy Core's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve from the previous cell. When a new cell goes in, the stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage profile of the replacement. The phone reads 25% remaining but the real cell voltage has already dropped below the minimum load threshold — typically around 3.5V under screen or modem draw. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge to auto-shutdown, then a full charge to 100% before resuming normal use.
Device not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If the voltage drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks charge input to prevent damage. The phone will show nothing — no charging animation, no response. Connect to a wall charger rated at 5V/1A and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. USB ports on laptops often lack the current to pull the cell out of BMS lockout — use a wall adapter.
