This is a 3.7V, 1900mAh Li-ion cell that fits the Samsung GT-i9190, Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy S4 Mini LTE, and SGH-I257, among other variants. It replaces OEM part numbers B500BE, B500AE, B500BU, EB-B500BU, EB-B500BE, and GH43-03944A. If your S4 Mini is draining fast, shutting down unexpectedly, or no longer holding a charge, this cell addresses those issues directly.
- GT-i9190 and LTE variant compatibility: The GT-i9190 and its LTE sibling share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers both variants without modification. The 69.10 × 50.90 × 4.20mm footprint matches the original cavity exactly.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full discharge-charge cycle on a GT-i9190. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake on the first cycle, voltage held steady through screen-on and modem-active load, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean reference curve against the new cell before any high-current charging session.
Why the S4 Mini reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The GT-i9190 uses a coulomb counter that builds its reference model from discharge data collected on the original cell. When a new cell goes in, the counter applies the old curve to a different cell chemistry and capacity signature — the percentage readout drifts. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. One full discharge-charge cycle with no interruptions resets the counter's baseline. After that cycle, percentage accuracy returns to normal behaviour.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the S4 Mini
This happens when the cell voltage drops below the modem or display load threshold before the fuel gauge registers empty — a voltage cliff common on aged or freshly installed cells the OS hasn't calibrated to yet. The phone's software sees 25% remaining but the actual terminal voltage under load has already fallen below 3.4V. Run one full calibration cycle as described above. If shutdown persists after two full cycles, check that the battery contacts in the bay are clean and making full contact — oxidised pins add resistance that accelerates the voltage drop under load.
