Samsung SCH-2200 / SGH-600 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 3.7V Li-ion replacement battery rated at 1150mAh (4.26Wh) for the Samsung SCH-2200 and SGH-600 mobile phones. It slots into the original battery bay and connects to the same three-contact interface used on both models. Use this when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge.
- SCH-2200 and SGH-600 compatibility: Both models share the same 3.7V battery bay, contact pitch, and charge management circuit. One replacement cell covers either handset without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the SCH-2200 platform. The phone's charge IC accepted the new cell without fault flags, and the BMS responded correctly to termination at full voltage.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after install: On first use after swapping cells, disable any fast-charge mode and run one full discharge down to automatic cutoff, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated state-of-charge register.
Why the SCH-2200 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The phone's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the replacement. The gauge reads voltage but maps it to the old profile, so it shows percentages that drift from reality. One full uninterrupted discharge-charge cycle forces the IC to rebuild its reference curve against the new cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under load — screen-on or active call — while the gauge still shows a comfortable percentage. The protection circuit cuts power the moment cell voltage falls below its low-voltage threshold, typically around 3.0V under load. The gauge percentage at that point is meaningless because it was calibrated to a different discharge curve. Run the recalibration cycle first; if shutdowns continue, check that the battery contacts are clean and seating fully to avoid added resistance pulling voltage down faster.
