This is a 3.7V, 1800mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the Samsung SCH-W2013 and GT-B9388 smartphones. It replaces OEM part numbers EB645247LL and EB645247LU. Fit this battery when the original cell no longer holds charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.
- SCH-W2013 and GT-B9388 compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both. The 46.50 × 51.93 × 6.00mm footprint matches the OEM cavity without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the SCH-W2013 and monitored the BMS communication line. The protection circuit responded correctly to cutoff thresholds at both ends of the voltage range, and charge acceptance was normal across the full cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after install: On first use, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated state-of-charge reading.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the SCH-W2013 after a cell swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage drop under modem and screen load than the IC expects, so it reads 25% state-of-charge right up until the cell voltage collapses. The fix is one full discharge-to-shutdown cycle followed by an uninterrupted full charge — this resets the coulomb counter baseline. After that cycle, the percentage readings track the actual cell state correctly.
Phone warm near the battery compartment on the first charge after replacement
A new cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates more heat during the initial CC phase. This is normal and tapers off after the first two or three full cycles as impedance drops. If the device stays warm well into the CV phase or gets hot to the touch, remove it from charge and check that the battery contacts are seated cleanly — a misaligned contact creates resistance that compounds heat. Warmth that disappears by cycle three is expected; sustained heat is a seating issue.
