Why the SGH-J600 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The J600 uses a fuel gauge IC that learns the battery's discharge curve over time. When a new cell goes in, the IC still references the old cell's internal resistance profile. This mismatch causes the reported percentage to sit high or low relative to actual charge state. One full discharge-charge cycle gives the IC enough data to remap its reference curve to the new cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
