This is a 3.7V 2700mAh Li-Polymer cell for the Satmap Active 10 and Active 12 handheld GPS navigators. It replaces OEM parts 1S2PE583759-02X and ACT10-BAT-00146. Fit the battery when the original cell no longer holds charge or the device shuts off unexpectedly during field use.

Why the Active 10 shuts off without showing a low-battery warning
The Active 10 reads remaining charge from a voltage curve stored against the original cell's discharge profile. When the cell ages, its internal resistance rises and terminal voltage drops faster under GPS-receiver load than the firmware expects. The device hits its hardware cutoff threshold — typically around 3.0V — before the on-screen battery indicator reaches one bar. Fitting a new cell resets this discrepancy; the voltage curve and the indicator align again after a few full charge and discharge cycles.
GPS accuracy drops noticeably when battery is below half charge
Some GPS receivers reduce RF front-end sensitivity when supply voltage sags below a set point — a power-saving measure that also cuts signal margin. On the Active 10, this can appear as position drift or loss of fix in areas with partial sky coverage. The symptom is not a firmware fault or antenna damage. Keeping the cell above 3.6V under load resolves it; charge before long off-grid legs rather than relying on the remaining capacity indicator alone.
