Low battery alarm triggering immediately after a confirmed full charge
The AT-10 Plus BMS calibrates its low-battery threshold against OEM cell characteristics. A new Ni-MH cell has a slightly different internal resistance profile than a worn original, so the BMS can read voltage under load as lower than actual state of charge. This typically clears after one complete charge-discharge cycle, which lets the BMS recalibrate its threshold to the new cell. Run one full cycle before relying on the battery indicator for clinical decisions.
AT-10 Plus will not power on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Ni-MH cells self-discharge during storage, and the AT-10 Plus BMS has a minimum recovery threshold — typically around 8.5V for a 9.6V pack — below which it blocks power-on to protect the cells. If the device shows no response, place it on charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on. This allows the charge IC to bring individual cells above the BMS recovery floor. Once the charge indicator activates, the device will boot normally.
