Why the MS-2007 flags a battery error after a confirmed full charge
The Cardiovit MS-2007 BMS stores a learned capacity profile from the previous cell. A new Li-Polymer pack has a different internal resistance curve than a degraded OEM cell, so the BMS may flag an error or display an incorrect state-of-charge on the first few cycles. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is the BMS recalibrating against new chemistry data. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle before clinical use to let the BMS establish an accurate baseline. After that first cycle, charge indicators and low-battery thresholds will read correctly.
MS-2007 fails to power on after battery sat in storage
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge during storage. If voltage drops below approximately 6.0V, the MS-2007 BMS enters a deep-discharge lockout and will not pass power to the device even when connected to the charger. Place the battery on charge and leave it connected for a minimum of two hours before attempting to power the device on — the charge IC applies a low-current pre-charge phase to recover cells in this state. Once voltage climbs above the BMS recovery threshold (typically 6.8–7.0V on this platform), normal charging resumes and the device will boot.
