This is a 3.7V, 2800mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Seagate GoFlex Satellite Mobile Wireless Storage. It fits the STBF500100 and STBF500101 models. The GoFlex Satellite is a portable wireless drive that streams files and handles backups over WiFi without cables.

This is normal behaviour and does not mean the replacement is faulty. Power the device on, let it complete a full charge cycle, and the error clears on its own.
GoFlex Satellite reporting less capacity than the rated 2800mAh
A low capacity reading directly after installation almost always means the calibration cycle has not completed — not that the cell is underspec. The GoFlex Satellite's firmware anchors its capacity estimate to the first full discharge it observes on the new cell. Charge the device to 100%, let it discharge fully through normal use, then recharge completely. After that cycle, the reported capacity should align with the rated 2800mAh figure.
