Why the 10C cuts out mid-intercom when camera recording is active
The 10C runs its Bluetooth radio, intercom mesh, and camera encoder off the same 3.7V cell simultaneously. Under that combined draw, instantaneous current demand can spike sharply — enough to trip the BMS undervoltage protection even when the battery reads 40–50% remaining. This is not a fault in the cell; it is the protection circuit doing its job. If cutouts happen repeatedly, check that the firmware is current, as Sena has issued updates that adjust the power-sharing logic between camera and comms functions.
Talk time shorter than expected after the first few charges
A fresh lithium-polymer cell does not deliver full rated capacity on cycle one. Electrolyte wetting and electrode activation take three to five full charge-discharge cycles before the cell reaches its nominal 1000mAh output. Riders who replace the battery and immediately compare talk time to a worn-in original pack will see a shortfall — this closes over the first week of normal use. Let the headset discharge fully through a ride, then charge completely in the cradle; repeat this three times to complete conditioning.
