Sencor SVC 8618GD — 18V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 18V 2000mAh (36Wh) lithium-ion battery fits the Sencor SVC 8618GD cordless handheld vacuum cleaner. It replaces the original cell when capacity has faded or the pack no longer holds a charge. Voltage and connector match the original factory specification.
- SVC 8618GD platform fit: The SVC 8618GD runs an 18V motor rail with a BMS that monitors cell voltage and current draw during motor spin-up. This pack matches that voltage rail and connector geometry, so the BMS handshake completes on first charge.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through repeated charge cycles and simulated motor-start loads. The BMS held stable under the inrush current spike at start-up and tripped correctly when we forced an overcurrent condition — no latching fault on reset.
- Dock charge habit on the SVC 8618GD: Do not leave this vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade in li-ion cells faster than normal use cycles. Charge to full, then remove it from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator shows low
This happens when the motor draws more current than rated — usually because the filter is partially blocked. The BMS reads the elevated draw as a cell stress event and reduces output voltage to protect the pack. The result is reduced motor speed well before the battery is actually depleted. Clean or replace the filter first, then check whether suction holds at full power across a normal cleaning cycle.
Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked nozzle, clogged filter, or carpet fibres jammed in the brush head — the motor draws sustained high current until the BMS shuts the pack down. The pack recovers once cell temperature drops and the BMS resets. Clear the restriction and restart the vacuum; if the cutout repeats immediately, check that the filter is fully seated and unobstructed.
